what is CRED?

CRED is an exclusive community for India’s most trustworthy and creditworthy individuals, where the members are rewarded for good financial behavior.

CRED was born out of a need to bring back the focus on a long lost virtue, one of trust, the idea being to create a community centered around this virtue. a community that constantly strives to become more virtuous in this regard till they finally scale their behavior to create a utopia where being trustworthy is the norm and not the exception. to build a community like this requires a community of its own; a community special in its own way, working towards making this vision come true.

here’s a thought experiment: what do you get when you put a group of incredibly passionateand driven people and entrust them with the complete freedom to chase down their goals in a completely uninhibited manner? answer: you get something close to what we have at CRED; CRED just has it better.

here is what you will do when you join as a part of the team.
what will you do:
• collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Tech, Business, and Ops teams to understand end-to-end platform architecture, business logic, and data flows – particularly those related to digital lending journeys. you'll identify failure nodes across systems (e.g., LMS, CRM, API integrations), conduct deep dives to isolate root causes, and define resolution paths.
• act as the central point of communication across functions – you'll drive alignment and progress between Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, Data Analytics, and external partners (lenders/NBFCs/payment aggregators), ensuring transparency, accountability, and speed of execution.
• monitor and own critical business/product metrics (such as disbursal TAT, NPA, bounce rates, repayment funnel performance, lender SLAs). work with analytics and product teams to derive actionable insights, build tracking dashboards, and feed learnings back into product/process improvement roadmaps.
• develop deep product and domain expertise across digital lending workflows – from borrower onboarding and credit decisioning to disbursal, collections, customer experience, and regulatory compliance. this includes understanding APIs, fund flow structures, and audit/reporting requirements.
• lead customer journey optimization initiatives by mapping end-to-end workflows (e.g., KYC, mandate setup, loan closure, repayment), identifying inefficiencies or drop-offs, and executing scalable improvements with cross-functional teams.
• be curious, deploy first principles thinking– bring a builder mindset to identify, pitch, and lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives, such as reducing onboarding friction, automating manual touchpoints, etc.
• apply a disciplined and fact-based problem-solving process to drive RCAs — using structured frameworks, checking API logs and data flows, coordinating with Engineering and Product teams, ensuring permanent fixes, and creating SOPs for long-term resolution.
• get hands-on with tools and systems – you'll be expected to work directly on the Loan Management System (LMS), set up process SOPs, configure operational dashboards, and troubleshoot data/API issues where needed.
you should apply if you:
• are a graduate with 4+ years of experience specifically in the digital lending space – ideally across operations, product ops, business ops, or customer experience roles.
• bring strong stakeholder management skills and can drive alignment and outcomes across cross-functional teams, external partners (e.g., NBFCs, banking vendors), and senior leadership.
• are a clear communicator, both written and verbal – capable of synthesizing complex issues into structured updates or proposals, and presenting them to business or tech stakeholders.
• have prior experience in fast-paced, product-led environments (fintechs, startups, B2C platforms), where ambiguity, ownership, and execution speed are key.
• are data-driven – you don’t make decisions without first digging into the numbers. you proactively pull data, identify trends, and distill insights to drive operational and product strategy.
